OBITUARY: Minden Press-Herald, 13 Mar 1974
Mr. Elijah DeLoach, age 93, passed away yesterday at the Minden Medical Center. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. P. S. Hightower officiating. Interment will be in the Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of the Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Mr. DeLoach is survived by two sons, Jessie Toliver DeLoach and William Edward DeLoach, both of Minden; two daughters, Ardie Plunkett of Dubberly and Mrs. Ruby Walker of Minden; three sisters, Mrs. Smythe Norris of Minden, Mrs. Irene Avery of Vivian, and Mrs. Sally Norris of Homer; 33 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be the grandsons.
