Ja__ Mon_ay Because of the position of this stone I believe this to be Jane (McCarty) wife of Joshua Monday married June 7 1805. Both of these stones are hand cut and shaped and have matching foot stones. Born c1783, Died after 1850.

Jane's death date comes from a diary kept from 1853 to 1855 by John Porterfield Jack which is in the McClung Collection, Knoxville, TN. Entry: 1853 - Oct. 5 Sowed wheat & to the burial of old Miss Monday.
