L.A. Boory was a former school superintendent of the Carnegie Schools in Oklahoma in the early days when classes were held in a two-story frame building later used as a hotel. He moved to Wellington, Kansas in 1907, where he was in the plumbing business with a brother for three years. He has been in Brownsville ever since.
Had two daughters, Jaunita Boory, a missionary to China, and Mrs. Frank Albright who lived with her father in Brownsville.
