Mrs. Calhoun died Tuesday, April 27, in Fayetteville.
A native of the Broughton community in Randolph County, Mrs. Calhoun was born July 15, 1915, the daughter of Jim and Annie Brown Cottle. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and had been employed with Handley Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Romer E. "Red" Calhoun.
Survivors include a daughter, Annette Brown of Fayetteville; a sister, Mildred Waller of Roanoke; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Eric Wood, Calvin Turner, Ford Swindle, Wayne Brown, Gary Clark and Mike Sorrell.
