Elizabeth Robinson Eskridge, the daughter of Nathaniel Robinson and Jane Pinkston, was born January 20, 1771 in Prince Williams County, Virginia. She was the second wife of George R. Eskridge. They were married on February 17, 1792 in Prince Williams County, Virginia.

Elizabeth and George were the parents of the following children. It is probable that their 9 oldest children were born in Fauquire County, Virginia and their 10th child was born in Grayson County, Kentucky.

Lt. George Eskridge died at the age of 64 years, 8 months and 25 days on August 18, 1827 in Falls of Rough, Grayson County. He was buried in the Eskridge Family Cemetery. Elizabeth Robinson Eskridge died 17 years later on July 21, 1844 at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 1 day. It is believed that she was buried in the Eskridge Cemetery with her husband and that her marker is now lost or unreadable. Several of her children and grandchildren were later buried in this cemetery. The Eskridge Cemetery is located on Highway 79 near the Rough River Dam. It is also known as the Bend Cemetery because of its location in the bend of the Rough River.
