MOULTON -- Funeral for Herchel Allen, 76, of Flat Rock will be Sunday at 4:30 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Hal Bigham and Joel Caudle officiating.
Burial will be in Fergerson Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Allen died Friday, April 28, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born June 12, 1923, in Lawrence County to Ulyess and Ludia Allen. He was a retired farmer and a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Helen White Allen; one son, Dwight Allen of Hatton; one daughter, Pat Allen of Huntsville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randy Summers, Bobby White, Glenn Bradford, Sam Bradford, J.T. Masterson and James Thomas.
