Arns - On Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 22nd, Henry Arns passed away at his home, west of this village at the age of 66 years. The deceased was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, August 15, 1850. At the age of four years he came with his parents to Chicago where they remained about a year, later moving to Sheboygan where they located on a farm. While still a young man, he helped his father on the farm and later assisted in the construction of the Lake Shore Railroad, now known as the Chicago, Milwaukee and Northwestern from Sheboygan to Milwaukee. On march 5th, 1874 he was married to Augusta Knabe at Mosel, Sheboygan county and continued to live at Sheboygan until 1876 when they located at Brillion where he has resided until the present day. He was a section foreman for about thirty years on the Northwestern Railroad. His death has removed from our midst a kindly whole-souled man, giving kindness and goodwill to all and will be sadly missed by all. He leaves to mourn his heartbroken wife, five daughters, Mrs. Pat Connelly of Manitowoc, Miss Anna of Milwaukee, Laura, Mary and Sara at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Theo Leliveldt of Chicago, Mrs.Minnie Schmitt of Colby and one brother, Christ Arns of Mosel. The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Frieden's church, Rev. Bizer officiating with interment at the Village Cemetery.
