Maurice J. (Pat) Ahern, 76, of 1609 Ellwood Ave., died at 1 a.m. Friday at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a native of Limerick, Ireland, and retired in 1965 as a maintenance man at Tube Turns. Survivors include his wife, the former Bridget Francis, three sons, M. Byron Ahern, with the Navy in Virginia Beach, Va., Kevin F. and Desmond J. Ahern, and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 1520 Hepburn Ave., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at the Barret Funeral Home, 1230 Bardstown Road, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
