Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ray Funeral Home in Madison. Burial will be in Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.
A native of Sandy Ridge, he was retired from the U.S.
Department of Agriculture and Soil Conservation Service. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a Baptist.
Surviving are wife, Nannie Mae Black Wood; brothers, Gordon E. Wood of Portsmouth, Va., Hanes O. Wood of King, Lawrence E. Wood of Danbury, Delbert R. Wood of Sandy Ridge, Bynum M. Wood of Statesville, Edsel F. Wood of Madison.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 tonight.
