Whiting, Iowa - Neva Lenora Seward, 84, of Whiting died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, with the Rev. Donald R. Ludwick officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, Whiting.

Mrs. Seward was born July 20, 1916, in Mount Moriah, Mo., the daughter of George and Edna Elmira (Gibler) Foster. She moved to the Maple Landing area in the early 1030s.

She married Johnnie Seward on Jan 15, 1935, in Elk Point, S.D. The couple made their home in the Whiting area. Her husband died July 31, 1983, in Onawa. She entered Elmwood Care Centre in 1997.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Onawa and enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include two sons, Jack W. and his wife, Carol Ann of Marble Falls, Texas, and Bryan P. of Storm Lake, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-step-grandchild.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, Danny John and Gary Leon; a grandson Stacy Jack Seward; a granddaughter, Christie Lee Seward; four sisters, Afton Foster, Madlene Hann, Dot Moss and Dorlean Hobbs; and a brother, Wade Foster.

Pallbearers will be Jeff, Curtis, Dallas, Gary, Jason and Craig Seward and Stan Gibler.
