Charles Langwell is the son of Zachariah Taylor & Mary Jane (Brown) Langwell . This information provided by member jknowles007 (#46982737)

Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Evening World, August 4, 1934, p. 1.

Suffering from shotgun wounds in the abdomen and stomach, Lanugell died at 8:35 o'clock this morning. Following an autopsy, Coroner Ben Ross pronounced death due to hemorrhage and shock.

A 15-year-old Bloomington negro boy, confessed in Spencer last night that he shot Charles Languell, 59, prominent Gosport farmer and Democratic office holder, the wounded man died in the Bloomington hospital.

Mr. Languell is survived by his widow, Ella Languell; his mother, Mrs. Mary J. Languell, and five brothers, William T., Walter M., and H. E. Languell, of Bloomington; E. H. Languell, of Reynolds, Indiana, and Sam Languell, of Minneapolis. He had no children. Three sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be held at the Christian church in Gosport at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. DeGroot, pastor of the Spencer Christian church, officiating.

The body was removed to the Dorsett Funeral Home, at Gosport, where it will remain until Sunday morning when it will be taken to the Languell residence in Gosport.
