Son of Michel Pevoto and Caroline Milberry Arthur. He was a rancher and farmer; born, raised and lived most of his life in Johnson Bayou, Louisiana.
He was a hardworking man who instilled the same ethics into his three sons, who in turn passed the same work-ethics down to their children.
He spent the last few years of his life in Harris County near his son, Rev. Dennis Rupert Pevoto, and is buried there in Glenwood Cemetery.
