MRS. SARAH EATON

Mrs. Sarah Eaton, lifelong resident of Ottercreek township, died July 3, at her home in Norwood.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at her late home, conducted by Rev. J. W. Garbison, of Milo, and burial was in the Brinegar cemetery.

Sarah Frances Lipe, daughter of John and Mahala Lipe, was born December 10, 1870, in Lucas county, Iowa, near Norwood, and died July 3, 1941, aged 70 years, 6 months and 23 days.

She was married Sept. 24, 1890, to John S. Eaton, who, with two daughters, Luella and Lillian, preceded her in death. Surviving her are three sons, John W. and Raymond G., of Lucas county, and Edgar S., of Milo. There are also seven grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Pfrimmer, of Norwood, and Mrs. Olive Baker, of Moline, Ill., besides a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Eaton lived her entire life in Ottercreek township where she was born. She was home-loving and hard-working, taking delight in doing for others and yet never wanting to be a burden to anyone.

While never a member of any church, Mrs. Eaton professed faith in Christ as her personal Saviour, and lived a true Christian life. Her sorrows and sufferings of this life are ended and we feel our loss is heaven's gain.
