Ruby was born May 2, 1923, in Cleveland County, NC to Wesley McClure and Lettie Sheila Lail Hoyle.

She was a homemaker and member of Pisgah Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryson McKinley Wright; a son, Ronnie Wright; three brothers; and two sisters.

Burial: Pisgah Baptist Church.
