CURTIS, Eileen Whigham 94, of Tampa, passed away June 30, 2013. She was born in Cairo, GA on Oct. 22, 1918. She worked at one of the first Publix in Tampa. Later, she was employed by Maas Brothers as a sales representative and a model. She also did modeling for the Tampa Chamber of Commerce. She possessed a talent for all things artistic. She was an excellent seamstress and upholsterer. She also enjoyed gardening, and was a fantastic cook and homemaker. Above all, she was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. We will hold her in our hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly Connell Curtis; two sisters, Madelle Whigham Tracy and Faye Whigham McDowell; and brother, Gordon Terrance Whigham. She is survived by son, David Connell Curtis (Sharon); daughter, Kathy Gwinn (Mitchell); two grandsons, Michael James Reagan & Christopher David Curtis (Mila); 2 granddaughters, Ansley Elizabeth Gwinn and Kaley Kathryn Gwinn; great-granddaughter, Anna Milane Curtis; extended family and friends. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to her devoted caregiver, Sonia Davila. Special thanks to family, David and Sharon, Chris and Mila.
