Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday at the Reigle Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4305 Clio Rd., Rev. Nelson D. Cushman officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Hurst will lie in state at the funeral home. Mrs. Hurst was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, December 4, 1887 and had been a resident of Flint for 50 years. Her husband, Otto, preceded her in death, January 12, 1970. Mrs. Hurst was a member of Bristol United Methodist Church, National Association of Retired Teachers, W.S.C.S., W.C.T.U., National Education Association, taught in Jacksonville, Illinios for 8 years, then in Dort School for 25 years, followed by substitute teaching in the Carman School district. Surviving are Daughter, Mrs. Jay C.(Eloise) Troxel of Flint; 1 grandchild; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Rex Brittenham of Rock Island, Illinois.
