pioneer Passes Beyond
John Hamilton , aged 94 years, resident of Pierce County, WI for 69 years, died last week at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Doe in River Falls Twns. The funeral was held Saturday at the Presbyterian Church here, Rev. A.S. Gilbert officiating. Internment was made in St. Paul's Cemetery in Ellsworth Twns.
The deceased was born near Louisville, Kentucky, Jan. 26, 1829. He came to Ellsworth in 1854. He served his country for three years and nine months in the Civil War.
He is survived by five sons and one daughter.
They are: Wm. Hamilton, of Ellsworth; Chas. Hamilton, Hill City, Minn. ; Bert Hamilton, Eau Claire; Harvey Hamilton, Madison; Lee Hamilton, Minneapolis; and Mrs. Henry , Cora D. Doe.
