Evilee Moore Ford, 85, of Deputy died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at 12:45 a.m. at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison, with Pastor Joe Johnson officiating and burial in the Pisgah Cemetery. Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Ford was a homemaker. She was a member of the Scottsburg Moose Lodge and also the Moose Lodge in Florida. She was also a member of the Maureen Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Born Jan. 27, 1924, in Lee County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Charlie and Estella Coomer Moore. She married Arnold "Pete" Ford on Sept. 13, 1967, in Madison. He survives.

Other survivors are a son, Rabon Barrett of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Steve Moore of Mesa, Ariz., and Elvin Moore of Austin; a sister, Emma Smith of Xenia, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Peggy Case of Deputy; two stepsons, Roger Ford of Dupont and Kenny Ford of Deputy; several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles Barrett; and a stepson, Gary Ford.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
