Ruby Bernice Clark age 74,passed away at Oak Woods Home for the Elderly in Mer Rouge,Louisiana. everyone called her Bernice, Bernice never married or had any kids of her own she helped raise her younger brothers and sisters and worked in the fields and gardens along side her family. she took care of her Elderly parents until they both passed away. she loved all her family adored her nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. was close to her sisters and brothers. she was a faithful christian lady who served the lord even as her health was failing she would attend church at Pioneer Assembly of God with her brother's wife.she lived near almost all her brothers and sisters she would cook and take a dish to someone who was sick. Bernice later was too nervous to drive anymore on the highway. she went in the nursing home read her bible faithfully and prayed for all her family,friends and neighbors she was a kind hearted person. she was preceded in death by her mother Pearlie Beatrice Clark, her father Joe Presley Clark,brother J.P. Clark,infant sister Helen Louise Clark, sister Murl Peoples and brother-in-law Mitchell Barrett. she's survived by 3 brothers Melvin Clark and his wife Lydia, Roy Clark, and Billy Clark and his wife Pam all of Oak Grove,Louisiana. 3 sisters Geneva Barrett of Dardenelle,Arkansas. Ruby Peterson and her husband Ronald of Oak Grove,Louisiana. and Lucille Harris and her husband William of Oak Grove,Louisiana. plus numerous nieces and nephews. her nephews served as pallbearers. Funeral services were held Aug.1 2009 at Pioneer Assembly of God Pioneer,Louisiana.
