Foster McClure, 87, Mesa, Arizona, died Saturday at Mesa Lutheran Medical Center. Born August 21, 1914 in Eubank, Kentucky, he was the son of Edgar and Florence (Pence) McClure. He had worked as an electrician and a moderator for the NECA. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks Lodge, Temple Lodge 47, Greencastle York Rite, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He married Virginia Katherine Elder, who preceded him in death in 1990. Surviving are two sons, Wallace McClure and wife Elizabeth, Lintchfield, Arizona, and Ron McClure and wife Karen, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Barbara Charlier and husband Emile, Plainfield; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother and a sister. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 am Friday at Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Visitation is 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.
