Served in the American Revolution as a Private in Capt Snow's Company, Justice of the Peace in Taunton and from 1812-1821 was also a Town Selectman. He served in the War of 1812 and was promoted to the rank of General of the Bristol County Brigade in 1809. In 1815 he was elected as a representative to the General Court of Massachusetts. - RGM

Thomas Lincoln was a man of many talents; he was a farmer, a Justice of Peace, and a member of the Board of Selectmen in Taunton for ten years. He also served the community as a representative of the General Court from 1815-1816. He served as a private in Captian Snow's regiment in the Revolution and he remained in the military until 1814. Lincoln was commissioned a Brigadier-General of the Bristol County Brigade on May 18, 1809. General Lincoln made his home on Field Street in Taunton.
