Thomas Lincoln was a man of many talents; he was a farmer, a Justice of Peace, and a member of the Board of Selectmen in Taunton for ten years. He also served the community as a representative of the General Court from 1815-1816. He served as a private in Captian Snow's regiment in the Revolution and he remained in the military until 1814. Lincoln was commissioned a Brigadier-General of the Bristol County Brigade on May 18, 1809. General Lincoln made his home on Field Street in Taunton.
