Dr. Barnes practiced dentistry in Greeneville prior to retiring to Florida in 1977 with his wife, Charlotte Russell Barnes. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter: Barbara B. Moore of Pensacola; his two sons: Bradley B. Barnes Jr. of Matoaca, Va., and Russ Barnes of Kingsport; six grandchildren: Suzanne Moore, Joe Moore, Dale Barnes, Lee Barnes, Bingham "B.J." Barnes, and Janie B. Rich; a great-grandson: Kristofer Moore; and a sister: Elizabeth B. Dean of Nashville.
He was a son of the late Hugh Erskine and Mary Ennis Barnes.
