Mrs. Gustave Zeak, 83, died unexpectedly of a stroke Monday, March 1 at her home in the town of Farmington.

Emma Jane Zeak was a daughter of James and Jane (Velie) Durrant, and was born March 8, 1871 in the town of Farmington. On March 19, 1889 she was married to Mr. Zeak, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters, (Flora) Mrs. Frank Leanna of Sheridan; Lottie, Mrs. Stanley Peart of California, and (Winnifred) Mrs. Alton Puls, Appleton; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Stedman, Racine, Mrs. Carrie Snyder and (Blanche) Mrs. Charles Minton, Waupaca; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Rev. Hugh Misdall, Oshkosh, conducted Methodist services at 2 p/m. Wed. March 3 at Holly's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Frank & Robert Strebe, Raymond Pipe, Oscar Rieben, Len Peterson and Herman Madsen. Burial was in the Sheridan Cemetery.
