Former Resident Funeral Services Held April 19

Funeral services for Virgie Patterson, 89, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 1995, at the University Church of Christ in Lawton with Weldon Flanagan officiating.

Mrs. Patterson died April 17, 1995 in Lawton.

She was born December 22, 1905 in Taylor County, Texas and married Marcy F. Patterson on December 24, 1922 in Hillsboro, Texas. They moved to Apache in 1925 and to Lawton in 1947. He preceded her in death December 25, 1974.

Mrs. Patterson was a member of University Church of Christ, Lawton.

Survivors include: one daughter, Joyce Ray, of Apache; two sons, Horace Patterson of Wichita, Kansas and Gene Patterson of Fort Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1-great-great-grandchild, and one sister, Lois Samuels of Apache.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Teresa Prince and Mildred Patterson, and one grandson, Michael Patterson.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Apache, under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
