Apache - LOIS MAE SAMUELS, 95, of Apache, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007, in Oklahoma City.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Apache, with the Rev. Leon Shade officiating, assisted by the Rev. Rue Scott. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under direction of Crews Funeral Home of Apache.
Lois was born Jan. 3, 1914, in Hillsboro, Texas, to James Jacob and Elizabeth Jordon Carr. She moved to Alden with her parents in 1922. She married Charles Samuels on Dec. 7, 1943, in Anadarko, and they moved to Apache after their marriage. He preceded her in death Aug. 17, 1983.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Apache, where she was a member of WMA Baptist Women's Group and a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Quilting Club.
Survivors include a son, William D. Samuels and his wife Janet of Duncan; a daughter, Judy Alexander and husband Billie Gene of Oklahoma City; a daughter-in-law, Troyce Samuels of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles L. Samuels; three sisters; and five brothers.
