He married Hester Wakeman & was an early member of the First Church. His name is on the Founders Monument as an original proprietor. He was a freeman in April, 1640, constable in 1650. His will dated Aug. 14, 1655 names his wife, Hister, his "brother Mr. John Wakeman" and his "cousin Thomas Hosmer". Inventory was take Dec. 19, 1655 which totalled 292 pounds, 3 shillings, 4 pence.
