Samuel McBee

Samuel R. McBee, 80, of 423 1st St., Chester, died Wednesday at 11:45 a.m. at home from an apparent heart attack. Mr. McBee was born in Chester May 30, 1896, a son of Jessie McBee and Sophia Basher McBee. He and his wife owned and operated the former McBee Artware on Carolina Ave., retiring in 1965. He was a social member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 6450 and Masonic Lodge 142, Chester. He also was a member of Osiris Temple in Wheeling where he was a 32nd degree Mason. In addition to his widow, Mrs. Ethel M. Allison McBee, whom he married in October 1920, survivors include five grandchildren and three great - grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester by the Rev. Clark Allison of the Church of the Nazarene in Wellsville. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel Friday afternoon and night were the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
