Miss Ethel Helen Gex, 76, a lifelong resident of Bay St. Louis, died at 3:40 am Thursday in Hancock General Hospital.

She was executive secretary of the law firm of Gex, Gex and Phillips. She was employed by the firm for more than 50 years.
Her father was the founder of the firm.

A resident of Timberlane, Bay St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Walter Joseph Gex Sr. and Amanda von Gohren Gex, pioneer residents of Hancock County.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, served on the board of directors of the Merchants Bank, was a member of the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club, and the Pass Christian Isles Golf Club.

Friends may call Friday from 9 am to 10:45 am at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. There will be an 11 am Mass in Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, followed by burial in Cedar Rest Cemetery, Bay St. Louis.
The family prefers donations to the American Cancer Society.
