Cedar Rest Cemetery is tightly packed jumble of old slabs, monuments, crypts which has suffered considerable damage in two major hurricanes: Camille (1969) and Katrina (2005). Grave sites are supposed to be number by rows and columns beginning at the N.E. corner (on your right hand as you enter from Second St.), increasing to the back (west) and left (south). This however, will only give one a rough idea of where any particular grave may be found as the rows and columns do not seem to be arranged very strictly. The city has a detailed book listing interments but was unable to provide a map showing locations.
