LOGAN - Heber K. Bankhead, an early settler of Wellsville, died Sunday evening following a long illness of infirmities incident to old age. He was born in Cottonwood in 1849 and moved to Wellsville in 1860. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rachel Haslam Bankhead and the following children: Hon H. Bankhead, Logan; James H., Heber H., William and Evan H. Bankhead, Wellsville; Mrs. Nancy Forester, Brigham City; also twenty-three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Wellsville tabernacle. Interment will be in the Wellsville cemetery.
