William Albert Denney, age 76, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Monday, February 4, 2008 at his home.

He was born May 31, 1931, the son of the late Grant and Hattie Guffey Denney.

He married Francis Smith and they had three children‹Martha Martin and Jesse Denney, who survive and Clyde Denney, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by two brothers-Lee Denney of Monticello, Ky. and Richard Denney of Somerset, Ky.; and three grandchildren-Kim, Kyla and Jessica Denney.

He later married Mae Upchurch and has three step-children-Ruby Jo Duncan, Tammy Sanders and Curtis Upchurch; and six step-grandchildren-Kista, Autumn, April, Cody, Chase and Alyssa Upchurch.

He was an active member of Horizon Adult Health Care Center, where he attended every day. He loved each and every member there.

He will be sadly missed by his family and everyone that knew him.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 6 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
