James L. Price then married Rebecca Ann Connell, 24 Jun 1849 in Autauga Co., Ala., the daughter of William M. Connell and Sarah Beard: It is said that James L. Price and Rebecca lived near what is known today as Inman's Camp. It is reported by some relatives, that they are buried in Old Salem cemetery. Today that section of land is now part of Mitchell Dam. That section of land is under the Coosa River backwater:
