Roy A. Gatian, 63, of 1411 North Willey St. (Morgantown, WV) died Thursday at the Downtown Division of the Mongonalia General Hospital.
He was born Dec. 11, 1911, in Flemingtonm a son of the late James and Ropha Love Gatian.
He was a retired coal miner and was employed by Consolidated Coal Co,
He was preceded in death by his wife Stella, in 1972.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Judith Wolfe of Morganfield, Ky; two sons, Richard of Morgantown and Roy, Jr. of Americus, GA; four brothers, Harry of Gulfport, Miss, Wayne, Charles and Art, all of Morgantown; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Darnell and Mrs. Lenora Molisee, both of Morgantown; nine grandchildren, one great-grandson. One son and one brother preceded him in death.
