Joshua and Beza (Delano) Boynton, b. at Waterville, Me., 7 Aug. 1802; d. at Elyria, Ohio, Sept. 1871. She d. at Amherst, Ohio, 27 Jan. 1840. He was Brigadier General of the Ohio Militia but never a member of Congress. Children: (i) Sylvanus Cobb Boynton, b. Belgrade, Me., 26 Sept. 1823; eminent lawyer, New York City. (2) Thankful Lois Boynton, b. at Belgrade, 29 May 1825; m. 19 July 1843, William P. Emerson of Olivet, Mich. (3) Maria.
