ALFRED SCALZO JR.
MARCH 4, 1957 - APRIL 24, 2005
Alfred "Alfie" Scalzo Jr., who worked for Benderson Development Co. in Buffalo, died Sunday at his home after a brief illness. He was 48.
A native of Niagara Falls, he attended local schools and served in the Army from 1975 to 1976.
In the early 1990s, he began working for Benderson Development in maintenance.
Mr. Scalzo was a car enthusiast and enjoyed home-improvement projects.
Surviving are a daughter, Briana M. of Niagara Falls; four sisters, Connie Dignard of Elizabeth, Colo., Mary Jo Bishop of Buffalo, Lily Wyatt of Cocoa, Fla., and Toni Hathaway of Wheatfield; two brothers, Steve and A.J., both of the Town of Niagara; and his former wife, Sandy of Niagara Falls.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Town of Niagara.
Burial will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown.
