Obit from Waverly Watchman: Monica Ridgeway, one of Waverly's pioneers, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. August Teichert. Monica was born in Resse Darmstadt, Hesse Castle, Germany. She came over from Germany at the age of 3. She married Alfred Ridgeway on April 30, 1846. Mother of Eleven.
According to 1860 and subsequent 1880 Census Records, Alfred and Monica Ridgeway had the following children: John, George, Mary, Elizabeth, Michael, Rosetta, Joseph A. Lucy M., Adam A., James Leo, and Hannah A. (Looking at census records, it appears that Hannah was listed as "Eliza" in the 1860 record.)
