After a lingering illness Mr. William W. Aulds, a resident of Bernice this parish,
died at his home last Saturday April 30th. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J.R. Autrey and Mrs. Florence Aulds both of Bernice. Interment was in the Bernice cemetery Sunday May 1st. Mr. Aulds lived many years in Farmerville where he has many old friends who will regret his passing.
*The Auld clan adopted the letter s to the end of Auld after the 1900's. It has been used interchangingly in research documents. For W.W. Aulds, the transcription of the Bernice City cemetery has him listed as this with incorrect birth and death dates:
