Obituary
"Death of an Esteemed Lady"

Mrs. Elizabeth White, wife of Mr. Benjamin White, died at her home in Poolesville district on Sunday last, after a few days illness, aged about fifty-five years.

Mrs. White was a lady of ennobling traits of character, which secured for her a very large circle of devoted friends.

She was a sister of Messrs. William Jones, jr., residing near Rockville, and John Jones, of Poolesville district, and Mrs. Columbus Dade, of Frederick county. The children surviving her are Harvey, Louise, Benjamin, Elijah W., and Mrs. Mary Clagett, of Frederick county.

The funeral took place from the house on Tuesday morning. Mr. Badger, of the Old School Baptist Church, conducting the services and the remains were interred in Monocacy Cemetery.
