Mr. Benjamin White, 100, died Saturday at his home in Poolesville.

Mr. White was born in Poolesville, graduated from Baltimore Business School, and worked for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad as an accountant until 1916. At that time, he returned to Poolesville and became head of the Poolesville Bank. He also was a director of the Farmers Banking & Trust Co. He retired from the banking profession at 78 and was active until last year in his hobby, vegetable gardening.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jane W. Blair, Kilmarnock, Va.; Mrs. Florence Van Emon, Poolesville, and Mrs. Sarah Carter Boland, Gaithersburg; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 19, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Monocacy Cemetery Association.
