Evelyn Gottfredson Cowan, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 22, 2009.
Mom was born September 17, 1928 to Wilford Gottfredson and Melva Gammell in Springville, Utah.
She married Frank Cowan on March 7, 1951 in Elko, Nevada and they were sealed in the LDS Temple on April 22, 1978.
Mom enjoyed crafts, gardening, holidays and traveling with her husband. She faithfully served in many church callings. The joy of her life was spending time with her husband and family. Mom left us with a legacy of love and faith that will never be forgotten.
Survived by her loving husband Frank, children, Craig (Roxanne) Cowan, Kay (Mike) Kalakis, Cinda (Bryan) Davies, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brothers, Glen (Beverly) Gottfredson, Ted (June) Gottfredson, Lynn (Nancy) Gottfredson, and Bob (Glenna) Gottfredson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in the Lake Creek Second Ward Chapel, 6250 East 12 South, Heber City, Utah, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to the services. Family and friends may also call on Monday, July 27, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
