BUTERBAUGH– Karen A. (Cuppett), 56, Richland, died July 24, 2009, at Select Specialty Care Hospital. Born March 2, 1953, in Johnstown, daughter of Victor and Constance (Carosello) Cuppett. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Terry D., on April 7, 2009; and daughter, Larrissa, in 1986. She is survived by the love of her life, her son, Matthew, at home; brother, Cary, married to the former Jeanne Jerz, Richland; she was an aunt to Chris Cuppett and Randi Yingling; and great-aunt to Kyler and Rylan Yingling. Niece of Martha Wingard, Richland; daughter-in-law of Bill and Charlotte Buterbaugh, Oakland; sister-in-law of Bill and Joanne Buterbaugh; niece of Walter and Catherine Kososki; and godmother, Clara Lasky. Also survived by special cousin, Celeste Kososki; numerous other cousins and relatives; and special friends, Joanie McDowell, Brenda, Michelle, Wendy, Sue and Mike. Karen was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a bachelor of science degree in sociology. She was the former plant manager at the Johnstown Post Office and was retired as the supervisor of operation support from the U.S. Postal Service. Karen was an unbelievably kind, loving and giving woman who dedicated her life to the benefit of others. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at The Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, Father David Peles officiating. Committal service will take place at Richland Cemetery.
