US Air Force Brigadier General. He graduated from South High School, Youngstown, Ohio, in 1941. He graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, Long Island, in 1944; attended Youngstown University; and received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland. He served in the Merchant Marine from 1942 to 1946. He entered the Air Force in 1949 and received his pilot wings and commission after completing flight training in 1950 at Vance Air Force Base Enid Oklahoma. He was vice commander at the Oklahoma City installation at Tinker Air Force Base from October 1973 to June 1976. At the time of his death he was assistant direction for installations and logistics, National Security Agency, Fort George G. Meade. His military decorations and awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with oak leaf cluster, Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award Ribbon with two oak leaf clusters.
