Survivors include four sons, L.D. Burns and Emmett Burns, both of Lonoke, Otis Burns of El Dorado and Ray Burns of Crossett; two daughters, Mrs. Kelly Jones of Lonoke and Mrs. Turner Mitchell of Carlisle; three stepsons, Walter Burns and Hulon Burns, both of North Little Rock, and Willie Burns of Bryant; a stepdaughter, Miss Gracie Burns of Lonoke; a sister, Miss Harriett Thurman of Carlisle, 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Service.
