Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva Mae Horton Burns; seven sons, Walter E. Burns and Hulon C. Burns, both of North Little Rock, Willie L. Burns of Bryant, L.D. Burns Jr. of Wattensaw, Emmett Burns of Lonoke, Otis Burns of El Dorado and Oscar Ray Burns of Crossett; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Jones and Miss Gracie Burns, both of Lonoke, and Mrs. Blanche Mitchell of Carlisle; a sister, Mrs. Vilona Minton of Lonoke, 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hew Hope Baptist Church (Lonoke County). Burial will be at New [Hope] Cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Service of Beebe.
