McCOMB - Funeral services for Charles N. Rader, 67, of McComb, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, with the Rev. Howard Mayne officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Rader died at 3:05 a.m. Thursday in Blanchard Valley Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 14, 1919, in McComb to Solomon A. "Min" and Esther (Insley) Rader. He married Miriam Stough on April 29, 1929, and she survives
Also surviving are a son, David of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. John D. (Susan) Kinn, Fostoria; five grandchildren; a brother, Ned of McComb; two sisters, Jane Parker, St. Mary's; Mrs. John (Carol) Smith, McComb.
Mr. Rader retired in 1971 as manager of Cadillac Glass Co., McComb, where he had worked for 34 years. A World War II Army Veteran, he was a member of Morrison-Morehead VFW Post 9231 and Mulford-Butler American Legion Post 511, both in McComb. He was a past president of McComb Rotary and McComb School Board and was also a member of Findlay Traffic Club and McComb United Methodist Church, where he had been a finance chairman for many years.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or McComb Public Library.
