Kenneth England, 83, St. Joseph, passed away April 11, 2009, at a local health care center.
Mr. England was born Feb. 11, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Harry and Beatrice (Brinkley) England.
He married Frances Rose on Nov. 12, 1948. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2005.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lorraine Moore and Betty Pisarczyk.
Mr. England was a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II and the Korean War. He worked for Swift & Company and Mead Products until his retirement.
He was a member and past president of Eagle's Lodge Aerie No. 49 and a past state trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors: daughters, Linda (Richard) Ward, Mound City, Mo., Janice (Don) Cobb, Columbia, Mo.; sons, Steven (Cathy) England, Mike (Janet) England, all of St. Joseph; sister-in-laws, Pauline Riley, West Palm Beach, Fla., Juanita Walker and Lois Bringus, both of St. Joseph; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
