Carl Benton "Sam", parents were John and Ella Shodwer Anderson of Comanche, Ok. After graduating from Comanche High School, Sam attended Hills Business School in Oklahoma City. He worked in the Aldridge Hotel in Shawnee and left to go into the Navy in 1942. He worked in procurement at Tinker Field for 3 1/2 years and retired with a honorable discharge. He married Ella Wilson who had two children. She and her children have preceded him in death. In 1973, he married JoyBelle Schultz and they lived in Oklahoma City until two years ago, moving to a retirement center in Corn, Ok. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife, JoyBelle; a brother, Troy Anderson of Capistrano, Ca.; 2 sisters, Estelle Williams of Houston, Tx. and Opal Bickerstaff of Metairie, La.; 2 stepsons, LeRoy Schultz of Weatherford and Terry Schultz of Tulsa; 4 granddaughters, Michele Schultz, Claremore, Heidi Schultz, Helena, Polly Brown, Midland, Tx. and Carrie and her husband , Steve Pough of Altus; one great grandson, Spencer Pough of Altus; and many nieces and nephews who were very special to him. Sam, as he was known, was a member of Britton United Methodist Church.
