He was born June 25, 1924, in Middletown Springs, son of Byron C. and Jaska (Lewis) Moyer.
He received his education in the Middletown Springs school.
Mr. Moyer farmed in the area for six years and worked for the Vermont Highway Department for nine years and the town and village of Woodstock for 29 years, serving as the village highway foreman, retiring in 1986.
Survivors include his wife, Irene S. Moyer of Woodstock; a stepson, Charles Dubeau of Woodstock; four brothers, Robert Moyer of Worcester, Mass., and Ralph Moyer, Byron Moyer and John Moyer, all of Middletown Springs; two sisters, Elsie Thomas of Bridgewater Corners and Shirley Waite of West Pawlet; a step-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Cecilia Moyer, Clarabelle McLaughlin and Maud Redfield.
The graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Prosper Cemetery in Woodstock with the Rev. Sami McRae, pastor of Pomfret Congregational Church, officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
