Services for Robert "Bob" Gandy, 80, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple with the Dr. Ron Milne officiating.
Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
Mr. Gandy died Wednesday, July 22, in a local care center.
He was born May 25, 1929, in Rogers to Robert H. and Mary Florence Davis Gandy. He married Ruby Lee Stiewert on Nov. 4, 1950, in Houston. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1977 as a senior master sergeant. After his service in the military, he became a partner in plumbing manufacturing sales. He also served as deacon and Sunday school teacher at South Avenue Baptist Church in Pasadena. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roger John Gandy in 1966.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert David Gandy of Leander; a daughter, Robyn Gail Pugh of Temple; a brother, Leslie Gandy of Stephenville; two sisters, Doris Fisher of Phoenix and Frances Brown of New Mexico; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, 1-800-708-7644.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
