Beaver was a class ahead of me in school at Higbee Junior High in Pittsfield IL. I remember him as a tough pitcher in Little League baseball when we played in the late 1950s. He had a great fastball and intimidated most of us. He was a leader among the "guys" at school, someone we wanted to emulate.

His father, Dana, was my eigth grade teacher at Higbee. He was, in my opinion, a fine man and teacher. I respected him greatly.

Stan married Marteena R. Benjamin January 25 1969. Together they had three daughters:
1. Lori
2. Stacy [1973]
3. Carrie

Stan served his country as an SP5 in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war.

I was sorry to see that he had passed on at such an early age.
